In line with the theme of “Innovative Underground Infrastructure – Challenges and Opportunities” the most outstanding actors in the field of Underground Works gathered for the 3rd Arabian Tunnelling Conference (ATC 2015) held on 23-25 November 2015 in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The attendees of the event were mainly local and government authorities. Tunnel and underground projects managers and contractors, as well as consultants, suppliers, designers and, in short, all specialists in underground Works were represented. The main activities in this event were: conferences, exhibitions, forums for young engineers, awards, and site visits to witness practical applications of new technologies.
OFITECO participated presenting its tool for comprehensive data management in urban tunnel monitoring: TUNNELDATA.
This tool is integrated in the process of geotechnical monitoring and control, as a system for the comprehensive management of monitoring data from underground works in urban environments. This web platform helps technicians to quickly convert acquired data into easily interpretable information. This approach allows the optimisation of the resources deployed on site, helping to ensure that the instrumentation is the most appropriate.
In summary, the whole instrumentation monitoring is developed with engineering criteria and efficiency, thanks to the generation of dynamic reports based on the know-how acquired by OFITECO in more than 40 years experience, and also to the innovative data processing module, which integrates correlation algorithms and data correction for inclinometric probes.
A demo of the tool with its main modules was performed during the presentation, as well as the references of the underground works in which it has been used in.
